I felt like this tribute needed a bit more explanation. I learned about abstract expressionism as I was beginning to get a hang of fractals and fractal programs. I feel like it has had an influence on how I approach fractals. I know that the common approach to fractal art by most fractal artists is very structured, planned and 'proper'. I usually don't have something set in my mind as I set out to make a fractal art piece. I let the process, the music and my current thoughts guide me. Ironically, my approach to this particular fractal was the opposite - I just wanted to imitate Pollock's style on a computer screen, without making a mess in my room. However, Pollock's fame is also from his chaotic and spontaneous approach to art as much as from the outcome of this approach. While this fractal is a tribute to the outcome, most of my gallery is a tribute to his approach. Thanks for reading if you did
